The Canones is the giant of the classic Fuente lineup, a full 8 1/2 inches by 52 ring. Nothing about it is hurried: expect two hours and change of mellow cedar, roasted nut and gentle sweetness that never turns harsh, because the big format keeps the burn cool from first light to nub. This is the cigar for a long night on the porch or a slow card game. If you love the blend but rarely have two free hours, the Churchill gives you the same character in a shorter sitting.
